Cookie policy

This page explains what this website stores in your browser and why. It is deliberately short, because there is very little to explain.

What we store

One item, in local storage rather than in a cookie: the light or dark appearance you pick with the switch in the header. It holds the value 'light', 'dark' or 'system'. Nothing is written until you actually use the switch, and it is readable only by this site.

There are no advertising cookies on this site, no social media pixels, and no cross-site trackers. We do not embed third-party fonts, videos or maps that would set cookies of their own.

Analytics

Where we measure how this site is used, we use a privacy-respecting analytics service that records page views in aggregate without cookies and without building a profile of you. If that ever changes, this page will change with it and we will ask for your consent first.

Server logs

Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (the page requested, the time, an approximate location and a browser identifier) for security and troubleshooting. These are not cookies and are not used to identify you. They are retained for thirty days.

Removing what is stored

Clearing site data for this domain in your browser removes the appearance preference. The site will then follow your device's own light or dark setting until you choose again. Nothing else is affected, and no functionality is lost.

Sites we link to

Lucid Signing, our own product, is a separate site with its own cookie notice, and it does ask for consent for analytics cookies. Anything else we link to is governed by that site's policy rather than this one.
