IT management & support

Under about forty people, nobody should be employing a full-time IT person. They should be paying for the parts of one, and getting a faster answer than an internal hire could give.

We hold the whole thing: onboarding and offboarding, laptops and their warranties, accounts and licences, patching, antivirus, backups and the security baseline. One provider, one invoice, one number to phone.

Offboarding is the part that matters most and gets the least attention. When somebody leaves, access is revoked the same day across every system, their mailbox is converted rather than deleted, and the device is wiped and re-issued. We keep the checklist so nobody has to remember it.

Support is unlimited within business hours for the things covered by the agreement, with a one-hour response commitment. There is a written scope, so nobody is arguing about whether a request counts while somebody sits unable to work.

What you get

Four things arrive, in this order.

Everything below is in the scope by default. If a project does not need one of them, it comes off the quote rather than being quietly left out.

  1. 01

    An asset register

Every device, licence and account: who has it, and when its warranty or renewal lands.

  2. 02

    Onboarding and offboarding

A checklist per role, run the same way every time, with same-day revocation when somebody leaves.

  3. 03

    Maintenance

Patching, antivirus, disk health and backup verification, checked monthly and reported.

  4. 04

    Support

Remote support in hours with a one-hour response, and on-site in greater Johannesburg by arrangement.

How it runs

From the first call to the handover.

You see the work at every stage, on something real. Nothing on this list needs chasing.

  1. 01

    Onboarding audit

Two days documenting every device, account, licence and password. Most of the value is here.

  2. 02

    Stabilise

Fix what is broken, patch what is out of date, and get backups running before anything else.

  3. 03

    Standardise

One way to set up a laptop, one place accounts live, one procedure for a new starter.

  4. 04

    Run it

Monthly maintenance, a quarterly review, and a report you can actually read.

Questions

The things people ask before they commit.

  • Is hardware included?

No. Hardware is quoted separately at cost plus a handling fee, so you can see what the machine actually costs.

  • What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00. After-hours cover for critical systems is available as an add-on rather than assumed.

  • Can you work alongside our IT person?

Yes, and that is often the right shape: they hold the business context, we hold the infrastructure and the escalation.
